A NEW AGE MAYAN TRAVELLER
July 23, 2012Lakme fashion week starts in less than one week and I am excited
about only few shows. One of them is Patola
by Isha Dangwar and Priyanka Rai. After working for four years for Sabyasachi Mukherjee
and later working for two years for Dolly J, Isha has given birth to this label
Patola, with Priyanka, who has worked for several export houses all around the
world.

“The
New Age Mayan Traveler: Invading the puzzle” is the name of
their Winter 2012 collection
“ Beginning
of “The End” or beginning of a new “Era”?
The collection is materialized out of these
terminations!!! Few months back as per the Mayan calendar cycle, the question
was ‘Is it the end of the world? Today the question rises “Is it the beginning
of a new era??”
It fantasizes a traveler who follows Mayan Catastrophe,
quests for the ultimate finale and seeks for the new beginning.
The collection is our enterprise which is an absolute
answer for “how to fight against the end”.
Candidly, all the local waste materials from a textile
unit which are the everyday dose for our community garbage have been used to
make a one of a kind product to save our planet; our approach is to contribute
in fight against global warming.” Says the Designers.
There are 10 more looks but i have been asked to keep them confidential till the show. So Im just posting this one look only.
