V which remains for
Vendetta is the name of fall winter 14 accumulation by Akaaro. Gaurav draws
Inspiration from 'World sound force's Blood Earth Project, which is a New Delhi
based aggregate that builds media joint efforts with south Asian craftsmen on issues
of social equity.
Visual references are
drawn from Dongria Kandh tribe of South Western Orissa which opposed the
corporate takeover of Niyamgiri Hills for Bauxite mining. The gathering skillet
the thought of advancement at the expense of human beautification/ friend
private enterprise and praises India's first ecological choice where in the
Judiciary ruled energetic about the kondhs.
Hand woven altogether
at Akaaro's studio with regular yarn, the gathering comprises of divides and
hung pieces alluding to modern work wear and the nearby's method for dressing.
A synthesis of looped
and hand assembled, the neck pieces are high quality in coated Terracotta.
